Do you accept insurance for services?
We currently do not accept insurance plans at this time. All nutrition services are an out-of-pocket cost.
How will I know if you can provide nutrition services for my medical condition?
Please see the list of Medical Nutrition therapies covered by Lana Scales, RD on the services page. If you’re unsure if your medical condition is a service covered by Lana Scales, RD. we recommend contacting us with any specific questions. This will allow you to make an informed decision about whether to choose me as Your Clinical Dietitian.
What is considered a “Current Client” and will I ever require an Initial Consultation” once I’m an established client?
Current clients of Lana Scales, RD are defined as seen within 12 months of an initial Consultation or Follow-Up visit. If seen within 12 months, clients may reschedule a Follow-Up appointment at any time per our schedule. After 12 months, returning clients will be required to schedule an Initial Consultation.
Is my virtual appointment HIPAA compliant?
Yes, our practice uses the HIPAA-compliant platform Practice Better. This platform is safe and secure protecting your private healthcare information.
